What is a 3DS Capture Card? A 3DS capture card allows the user to draw on the video signal of the 3DS in order to output via USB to a computer monitor through the 3DS Viewer software. ---------------------------------------- Why not just soft mod a 3DS or use an emulator? These methods are far from perfect, yes you can achieve a higher resolution with a program like Citra but you are very limited with the performance of your computer. Soft modding a 3DS can be great but you can only stream 3DS games, nothing in the DS library, the output tends to be choppy and low in quality. ---------------------------------------- What if the capture card stops working? I am more than happy to repair it if shipping, replacement parts and my time is covered. This is something we can discuss if it comes to this. ---------------------------------------- Can my system be both soft modded and capture modded? Of course! I'm more than happy to do both for you as long as the installation fee is increased by a slight amount, we can discuss this further ---------------------------------------- How long have you been doing this? I've been doing personal mods for around 5 years now, I've sold the occasional project, most notably GBA mods, I've only been working on 3DS' since 2020, however I've learned quite quickly how to do these installs. ---------------------------------------- Why do I need to take out the battery? This only applies to orders made outside the UK. This is regarding the laws here with posting batteries internationally, the majority of couriers don't allow them to be shipped. If I recieve a system with a battery and it needs to be shipped outside the UK, I'm afraid the battery will be removed and will not be sent back your way with your console. ---------------------------------------- How long do current orders take Unfortunately they could be around a year or upwards at this point, this is due to scammers and people jumping the queue. 3DS XLs are getting a little harder to find at a reasonable price and a lot of orders depend on my ability to source them. I can assure everyone that installations will still take place, as I am looking into a part time job and other priorities this is something I love doing! These are set until I've settled into my new place. I'm working on getting all orders in stock fulfilled, buying some 3DS systems, installing what I can and then in April starting to send them out in bulk. Digital audio is always an option, this has been in Beta for as long as I've known with the viewer software. However since 2021 the kits my supplier manufactures has a chance of a fault between the 3DS XL and itself. Meaning digital audio through the software is distorted, to varying levels, there is also a delay present at all times, it is onlt slight but is very noticeable. I suggest using a Line-in/Aux cable whilst selecting Stereo output in the 3DS system settings. This will cause no delay in audio output and be the cleanest option. A noise filter is always a good option if you want to clean up the signal further. ---------------------------------------- REFUND POLICY Unfortunately people have abused this option and I do not offer refunds. I have lost a lot of money due to people going behind my back and claiming their money back. Please note that this is a made to order system, so as soon as your payment goes through that money is allocated immediately. People have taken advantage of this and it's giving not only me but all customers trouble as my money is constantly being tied up and I'm having to sort out these issues. I'm sorry I have to make this post but it isn't obvious to some that this is the case. ------------------------------------ UPDATE 7th July 2023 Big update time. Sadly in June of 2023 I've been scammed out of multiple 3DS', I've put money from the business into this which has put a big impact on my workload. I currently have approximately 20 3DS' and around 30 capture card kits on hand. So I'll be installing these ASAP. (I've got to do a proper stock check to make sure!) In order to recoup my funds I'll be using some of my pay from my part time job. Also I am selling a lot of my possessions in order to get a move on. I'm sure a lot of you may be reading this and getting quite worried about delays and your orders being fulfilled. These are ALL being fulfilled and I am going through the list in the order in which they were placed. I've had issues with parts being faulty, parts not shipping outright, prices of 3DS' and parts hunping harshly in price. A lot of people have made threats and jump the queue, despite letting these people know about the impact this has they sadly still pushed through and it has been making things difficult to keep to a schedule with my installations. I might make some changes to the website being clearer about terms and update my prices. Please remember the website will stop accepting orders come new years day 2024. I am sorry, I definitely have part to blame in this and am more than happy to own up to it.
